High blood pressure means, the heart has to work harder to push the blood through the body. It creates a buildup in the arteries and therefore damages the arteries, resulting into greater risk of cardiovascular disease.
Medicines do not cure your hypertension nor protect you from sudden fatal cardiovascular events such as heart attack, hardening of the arteries, stroke and kidney failure. It doesn’t even work to normalize the blood pressure.
Can you imagine the exact role of medicines?
The medicine relax the blood vessel walls and decreases the heart rate & blood flow. The side effects of the medicines are: impotence, fluid retention, gastrointestinal problems, dizziness, muscle weakness and especially cramping, lowering of good cholesterol(HDL), dryness of the mouth, fever, anemia, a stuffy nose, diarrhea, heartburn, possible nightmares, swelling around eyes and aches and pains in the joints.
Mortality rate is slightly higher among people who are on
Medications since they feel themselves safer with medicines. In fact the medicines are not able to solve the basic reason of High Blood Pressure which occurred due to stressful life and fatty foods.
Lack of physical activity, obesity, high sodium intake, high cholesterol, excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages and heredity are some of the factors which are the basic reasons for high blood pressure. Patients suffering from Diabetes are easy prey to high blood pressure.
Affected people are usually well placed. They are able to lead a comfortable life with the facilities of choicest foods. But they are plagued by regular stress and strains of daily life.
Steps to control High blood pressure:
# Go for 30 minutes walk, regularly
# Reduce intake of Sodium in the diets. All packed foods have sodium in it. Besides intake of salt has to be minimized.
# Drink 10-12 glasses of water. Water refreshes every part of the body, including all the blood vessels.
# Control Alcoholic drinks and cut down tobacco usage
# If obese, control your weight essentially
# Try to comfort your mind for 15-20 minutes a day. Go for meditation or enjoy some light music. Read some jokes which enables you to laugh with full force.
If you have a family history of hypertension, lifestyle measures may not be enough to keep your blood pressure under control - you probably will need some medication. But no one should depend on drugs alone. A healthy lifestyle, including relaxation practice, is also key to keeping blood pressure in the safe range.
