Hospitality in hospitals – Medical Tourism

02/21/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

Your choice for a hospital goes with your ailment and the procedure recommended by your doctor. You and your family would wish a successful operation and fast recovery.

How would you feel when you enter the hospital and you are welcomed by neatly dressed nurses who have thread brows with use of lip-gloss. You feel that you have stepped into a hospital which offers you 5-star hotel treatment. You are ensured of a comfortable stay and good food, planned by an experienced chef who takes care of your tastebuds. Who certainly offers you more than porridge.

The management and the staff of the hospital is trained to realize a simple fact that the patient does not enter hospital by choice but reaches with a different state of mind, then the patient can experience a comfortable stay at the hospital. The nurses are equally at home with basic life support system and becoming first point of contact between the patient, doctor and the hospital

The child-patient is offered video games and grown patients are offered televisions and a collection of favorite books and magazines so that they just forget the pinch of the recovery time after the procedures.

Ladies are offered basic beauty treatments and salons offer ‘at-your-bed’ services to the patients. Wigs are offered to those who have lost hair during chemotherapy for cancer treatments.

Money cannot buy you health but it can surely reduce the surviving illness. The focus has shifted to comfort and facilities that would make it stand out from others.

Look for your comforts in Indian Multi-specialty hospitals. Patients from Europe, Middle East and Canada are regularly coming to India for treatment. Patients from Western countries, usually get a package deal that includes flights, transfers, hotels, treatments and also a post-operative vacation.
