Head of University of Pittsburg Cancer Institute – Dr Ronald B Herbermann had issued a warning to his faculty and staff – Limit cell phone use because of the possible risk of cancer.

It might cause the following harms:
• Cause brain tumor
• Harm blood cells and cause cellular changes
• Damage your DNA
• Cause nerve-cell damage
• Accelerate and contribute to onset of autism and trigger Alzheimer’s disease
• Damage your eyes
• Cause sleep disruptions

The cell phone and cordless phones share the same risk to the brain.

Children and Babies are most at risk since the density of children’s skulls is far less than adults’, and their brains are more susceptible to damage from cell phone and wireless radiation. So it is very important that cell phones are kept away from infants, babies, children and pregnant women.

It is advisable to use only wire connected phones. We must protect ourselves my taking the following precautions:
# Reduce the usage of cell phones and discourage our children to use cell phones.
# Use landline at home and office
# Use Cell phone only when reception is very good and the batteries are properly charged.
# The cell phone must be kept away from the body when not using. It will help avoiding radiations.
