Tips to get thousand of dollars worth of free advertising

12/30/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

You may offer a product, software or a medicine which could greatly benefit maximum number of people but no body would know about it, unless you advertise or publicise it.
You may reach bigger audience through advertisement or publicity. You may place advertisements in newspapers, or place a commercial in the television. All depends upon your budget. But there is another way of informing larger number of people. It needs your expertise in writing headlines which could catch maximum eyeballs. It will get you free publicity.
Just see an example:

Alternatively there is a simpler way to gain online publicity by going through bulk email database. Whether you are a new online marketer or an established one, you certainly wish to find customers for your digital or physical products. But the problems arise to locate customers. Writing articles and collecting the names of interested persons could be one of the ways but it is very time consuming. Besides it needs you to write an informative article which draws the interest of the customers.
A simple and promising approach solves the problem. Go for Email marketing. Collect the email addresses of the people and send them emails. Interested persons will surely reply to our mails.
Normally 3-4 percent people respond to your emails. But the problem arises collecting such addresses. Moreover, one may start mailing only after collecting 500 to 800 addresses. Mails to the same address could be sent once in 7 days. It clearly shows that one can not work having a database of around 10,000 email addresses.
Although mailing bulk emails hardly costs anything but it is certainly labour intensive and time consuming job. Moreover it is very difficult to find (spam free)email addresses in large numbers.
Bulk email databases have made web-marketing very easy for every online marketer. They maintain easy-to-use web-based application; you have to enter your offer and hit-send. Your message is instantly served to large number of people through their bulk email server. Your first bulk email campaign is launched within a few minutes. It makes the online marketing very simple.
All the recipients are double opted-in to receive marketing messages.
Most of the bulk email database companies offer you video tutorials. It makes the process of creating your messages simple and impressive.
You may expect following benefits from bulk email databases:
# No bounces of your emails
# You may preview your messages, edit it and even save it for future despatches.
# Your messages go with one click (send button).
#You need to become the Life member of Bulk email database company by paying a nominal fee.(only once)

Can Touching Your Toes Test Your Arteries?

12/25/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

Why the number of heart-attack deaths should surge so significantly during the holidays still is not clear, although cardiologists have some well-founded guesses. “We suspect there is often an inappropriate delay in seeking medical attention” at this time of year, says Dr. Robert A. Kloner, a professor of medicine at the University of Southern California, a cardiologist at Good Samaritan Hospital and the lead author of both the 2004 study of deaths in Los Angeles County and the accompanying editorial. “People ignore the pain in their chest,” perhaps because they don’t wish to disrupt the festivities or they misinterpret the ache as overindulgence, Dr. Kloner says. By the time they get to an emergency room, it’s too late to save them. Stress and tension likely play a role, too. “Spending time with family members can be trying,” he says. “And there are often concerns about financial issues, buying presents and so on.” Even a wood-burning fireplace, a romantic symbol of wintry, holiday evenings, could be a contributing factor, because particulate matter in the air has been connected to an increase in the risk of heart attacks, Dr. Kloner says.

A provocative new study published this year in the journal Heart and Circulatory Physiology suggests, however, that there may be a novel way to test at least one element of your heart’s health right in your own living room, right in the middle of the holidays. Sit on the floor with your legs stretched straight out in front of you, toes pointing up. Reach forward from the hips. Are you flexible enough to touch your toes? If so, then your cardiac arteries probably are also flexible.

In the study’s experiment, scientists from the University of North Texas and several Japanese universities recruited 526 healthy adults between the ages of 20 and 83 and had them perform the basic sit-and-reach test described above, although their extensions were measured precisely with digital devices. Taking into account age and gender, researchers then sorted the subjects into either the high-flexibility group or the poor-flexibility group.

Next, using blood-pressure cuffs at each person’s ankles and arms, researchers estimated how flexible their arteries were. Cardiac artery flexibility is one of the less familiar elements of heart health. Supple arterial walls allow the blood to move freely through the body. Stiff arteries require the heart to work much harder to force blood through the unyielding vessels and over time could, according to Kenta Yamamoto, a researcher at North Texas and lead author of the study, contribute to a greater risk for heart attack and stroke.

What the researchers found was a clear correlation between inflexible bodies and inflexible arteries in subjects older than 40. Adults with poor results on the sit-and-reach test also tended to have relatively high readings of arterial stiffness. In short, the study concluded that “a less flexible body indicates arterial stiffening, especially in middle-aged and older adults.” No such correlation was found in those under 40, even when gender and fitness were considered as factors.

These results do not mean, of course, that people in the inflexible group were in imminent danger of a heart attack on Christmas Day. Arterial stiffening does not indicate or inevitably lead to arterial disease, Mr. Yamamoto emphasizes. In fact, some degree of arterial stiffening is inevitable with age. But the stiffer your arteries are, the less efficient your heart.

How it is that stiff muscles in the back and legs are linked to stiff tissues near the heart is an issue that hasn’t been fully elucidated, Mr. Yamamoto says, although arterial walls are composed of the same kinds of elastic tissues as muscles elsewhere in the body. So it’s likely, he says, that alterations in the composition of muscle tissues in the lower back (including aging-related alterations in the amount of collagen within the muscles) could be occurring in the arterial walls at the same time.

What is surprising are some early indications that increasing your flexibility might somehow loosen up your arteries, too. That was the accidental and, as yet unreplicated finding of a small 2008 study at the University of Texas at Austin. The study was designed to examine whether weight lifting increased arterial stiffness. (It didn’t, at least on this occasion.) The control group consisted of people who stretched. They were not expected to show any change in cardiac function, but over the course of 13 weeks they in fact increased the pliability of their arteries by more than 20 percent.

Mr. Yamamoto and his colleagues are currently conducting an ambitious study to determine just how and whether stretching directly affects the arteries. The results won’t be available for some time. Until then, Mr. Yamamoto says, it’s best to consider your flexibility (or lack there of) as a marker of your probable arterial elasticity. “If you can touch your toes in the sit-and-reach test, your flexibility is good,” he says. If you can’t, you might consider talking to your cardiologist — although, remember, as Mr. Yamamoto points out, that tight arteries are not necessarily diseased arteries. They’re just less than ideally fit.

As for avoiding the “Merry Christmas Coronary,” Dr. Kloner’s advice is succinct: “Don’t ignore symptoms,” he says. Avoid overimbibing, too, and tamp down stress. If this requires turning down an invitation from a wheedling relative, you could always try explaining that your cardiologist would say that it’s for the best.

Diabetes - Fighting with Lots of Espresso

12/25/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

If you fond of coffee or tea, you are less likely to develop Type 2 diabetes than non-drinkers. Those drinking three to four cups a day are at 25 percent lower risk for the disease than those who drink less than two cups. It does not matter whether the drinks are caffeinated or not, said the study, published in The Archives of Internal Medicine.

The analysis does not prove that drinking tea or coffee lowers the risk of the so-called adult-onset diabetes, but it is not the first study to report such a link. And it goes further than other studies, A report based on an analysis indicates that for caffeinated coffee, risk dropped by 5 percent to 10 percent with each additional cup consumed, which the researchers say suggests a causal relationship. Those drinking more than six cups of coffee a day were at 40 percent lower risk for diabetes than non-drinkers; the figure for those who drank less than a cup per day was just 4 percent.

Some studies have indicated that chemical components of tea and coffee may have beneficial effects on glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity, but the evidence is mixed.

“Caffeine can’t be the answer, because you see the same sort of overall response from diabetes with decaf as with caffeinated coffee,” said the paper’s senior author, Mark Woodward, a professor at Mount Sinai Medical Cente in New York.

Solve insomnia - Tips to improve sleep quality

12/21/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

Too little sleep impacts your levels of thyroid and stress hormones, which in turn can affect your memory and immune system, your heart and metabolism, and much more. Over time, lack of sleep can lead to: weight gain, Depression, High blood sugar levels and an increased risk of diabetes and brain damage
Generally speaking, adults need to get between six and nine hours of sleep a night. But there are definitely exceptions. Some people can, in fact, function well on as few as five hours a night, while others need up to 10.
You need more sleep during times of illness or emotional stress, or during the winter months. And pregnant women often need several hours more sleep than usual during their first three months of pregnancy.
A good rule of thumb to follow is that if you feel tired when you wake up, you probably aren’t getting enough sleep. Most of us have set times that we need to wake up in the morning, so getting more sleep, for most of us, means going to bed earlier.
If you find that you’re not waking up feeling refreshed, it’s a good idea to devote some attention to revamping your sleeping habits. Find some tips to improve your sleep:

1. Listen to relaxation CDs
2. Avoid before-bed snacks, particularly grains and sugars
3. Sleep in complete darkness
4. No TV right before bed
5. Wear socks to bed
6. Read something spiritual or religious.
7. Avoid using loud alarm clocks
8. Journaling: If you often lay in bed with your mind racing, it might be helpful keep a journal and write down your thoughts before bed
9. Melatonin and its precursors
10. Get to bed as early as possible: Our systems, particularly the adrenals, do a majority of their recharging or recovering during the hours of 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. In addition, your gallbladder dumps toxins during this same period. If you are awake, the toxins back up into the liver which then secondarily back up into your entire system and cause further disruption of your health.
11. Keep the temperature in the bedroom no higher than 70 degrees F (22*C)
12. Eat a high-protein snack several hours before bed
13. Eat a small piece of fruit.
14. Avoid caffeine
15. Alarm clocks: Keep it 3 feet away from your bed.
16. Avoid alcohol: It avoids you from falling into the deeper stages of sleep, where the body does most of its healing.
17. Lose weight. Being overweight can increase the risk of sleep apnea, which will prevent a restful nights sleep.
18. Avoid foods that you may be sensitive to. This is particularly true for dairy and wheat products, as they may have effect on sleep, such as causing apnea, excess congestion, gastrointestinal upset, and gas, among others.
19. No fluids within 2 hours of going to bed. This will reduce the likelihood of needing to go to the bathroom. You may visit bathroom before going to bed.
20. Take a hot bath or shower before bed. When body temperature is raised in the late evening, it will fall at bedtime, facilitating sleep,
21. Menopauses should consult their physicians: The hormonal changes at this time may cause problems if not properly addressed.
22. Don’t change your bedtime. You should go to bed, and wake up, at the same times each day, even on the weekends. This will help your body to get into a sleep rhythm and make it easier to fall asleep and get up in the morning.
23. Ensure you are exercising regularly. Exercising for at least 30 minutes everyday can help you fall asleep. Studies show exercising in the morning is the best if you can do it.
24. Establish a bedtime routine. This could include meditation, deep breathing, massage from your partner using aromatherapy or essential oils. It helps you release the day’s tensions.
25. Put your work away at least one hour before bed. This will give your mind a chance to unwind so you can go to sleep feeling calm.

Aloe Vera – A miracle herb

12/18/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

How about having two pots in your balcony which may serve as the best medicine for most of your chronic ailments? Yes, you have rightly guessed. It is Aloe Vera. It has miraculous healing abilities.

Aloe Vera is the most impressive medicinal herb offered by the nature. Garlic would be next amazing variety of the natural medicines.

Aloe Vera has been found to be very effective for the following problems:

• Halts the growth of cancer tumors.
• Lowers high cholesterol.
• Repairs “sludge blood ” and reverses “sticky blood".
• Boosts the oxygenation of your blood.
• Eases inflammation and soothes arthritis pain.
• Protects the body from oxidative stress.
• Prevents kidney stones and protects the body from oxalates in coffee and tea.
• Alkalizes the body, helping to balance overly acidic dietary habits.
• Cures ulcers, IBS, Crohn’s disease and other digestive disorders.
• Reduces high blood pressure naturally, by treating the cause, not just the symptoms.
• Nourishes the body with minerals, vitamins, enzymes and glycol-nutrients.
• Accelerates healing from physical burns and radiation burns.
• Replaces dozens of first aid products, makes bandages and antibacterial sprays obsolete.
• Halts colon cancer, heals the intestines and lubricates the digestive tract.
• Ends constipation.
• Stabilizes blood sugar and reduces triglycerides in diabetics.
• Prevents and treats Candida infections.
• Protects the kidneys from disease.
• Functions as nature’s own “sports drink” for electrolyte balance, making common sports drinks obsolete.
• Boosts cardiovascular performance and physical endurance.
• Speeds recovery from injury or physical exertion.
• Hydrates the skin, accelerates skin repair.

Your first experience with Aloe Vera could be reflected by an improvement in constipation. It soothes the intestinal tract and helps heal stomach pains. You may notice an easier time while passing the stools. A raw juice diet using vegetable and fruit juices combined with Aloe Vera gel is practically a miracle cure for early-stage colon cancer. Think of it as a raw juice fast + Aloe Vera. It’s a very powerful cleansing recipe.

Aloe Vera heals radiation burns caused during Cancer treatments

12/18/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

For those cancer treatment victims who have been maimed by radiotherapy treatments (which don’t cure cancer, by the way: the treatments are largely a medical hoax), applying Aloe Vera topically to the radiation area will rapidly accelerate the healing response. Consuming Aloe Vera internally will also help heal radiation burns. Of course, it’s smarter to avoid radiation in the first place, since the procedure actually causes cancer just like mammograms do.

If you undergo such barbaric procedures, note that using Aloe Vera (both internally and externally) can greatly improve your results by protecting you from the treatment itself. Of course, modern oncologists are simultaneously so arrogant and ignorant that they will insist you take nothing that might “interfere” with their poisons, which is why people who foolishly believe in modern oncology are rapidly removing themselves from the human gene pool.

If you’ve never eaten aloe before, be sure to take only a small amount at first. Its never being heard that anyone having an allergy to Aloe Vera, but you never know until you try it.

In any case, after taking large amounts of Aloe Vera, you may feel some difference in your digestion for a few days. If you’ve been constipated, aloe will likely reduce its severity, and you may notice a far easier time passing stools. If you’ve had stomach pains or intestinal pains, you’ll likely notice them easing or vanishing completely. Aloe Vera is the best internal medicine for the treatment of colon polyps. It soothes the intestinal tract and helps heal pre-cancerous lesions or growths. In fact, a raw juice diet using vegetable and fruit juices combined with Aloe Vera gel is practically a miracle cure for early-stage colon cancer. Think of it as a raw juice fast + Aloe Vera. It’s a very powerful cleansing recipe.

Choose dog as a better walking partner

12/15/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

Is it better to walk a human or to walk a dog?

New research from the University of Missouri has found that people who walk dogs are more consistent about regular exercise and show more improvement in fitness than people who walk with a human companion. In a 12-week study of 54 older adults at an assisted living home, 35 people were assigned to a walking program for five days a week, while the remaining 19 served as a control group. Among the walkers, 23 selected a friend or spouse to serve as a regular walking partner along a trail laid out near the home. Another 12 participants took a bus daily to a local animal shelter where they were assigned a dog to walk.

To the surprise of the researchers, the dog walkers showed a big improvement in fitness, while the human walkers began making excuses to skip the workout. Walking speed among the dog walkers increased by 28 percent, compared with just a 4 percent increase among the human walkers.

“What happened was nothing short of remarkable,” said Rebecca A. Johnson, a nursing professor and director of the Research Center for Human Animal Interaction at the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine. “The improvement in walking speed means their confidence in their walking ability had increased and their balance had increased. To have a 28 percent improvement in walking speed is mind boggling.”

Ms. Johnson said that because some people are afraid of dogs, the participants were given the choice of walking with a human or a dog as the companion. Ms. Johnson said the dog walkers were far more consistent in sticking with the program than those who were walking with humans.

“In the human walking group, they were regularly discouraging each other from walking,” she said. “Missouri is a hot state. We would hear them saying: ‘It’s hot today. I don’t want to walk, do you?’ ”

The response from participants in the dog-walking group — and their dog companions — was very different.

“When the people came to the animal shelter, they bounced off the bus and said, ‘Where’s my dog?”’ Ms. Johnson said. “And the dogs never gave any discouragement from walking.”

Ms. Johnson said she suspects differences will show up in other areas, like depression and anxiety, although that data are still under review and the final study has not yet been published.

But there were also other subtle indicators of improvement among the dog-walking group. Many people in the dog-walking group stopped using canes and walkers. “They would say, ‘Now I’m physically fit enough to take my dog for a walk,”’ Ms. Johnson said.

Facelift by Cosmetic Acupuncture

12/09/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

Whilst most people wouldn’t mind looking a few years younger, the notion of allowing a surgeon to take a knife to your face is more than a little off-putting. As a non-surgical alternative, cosmetic acupuncture can deliver a fresh faced radiance whilst diminishing the signature signs of aging. More importantly the treatment addresses the underlying causes of ageing, which can be preferable to masking the symptoms with invasive procedures.

Cosmetic Acupuncture has recently attracted much media attention. The Irish Times recently acclaimed this treatment as “a viable alternative to cosmetic surgery and the effects can run much deeper than simply improving appearances”. This remarkable treatment may erase as many as 5 to 15 years from the face.

Improving physical appearance with the help of cosmetic acupuncture has a history, which dates back over 800 years to the Sun dynasty, when the empress and the emperor’s concubines used it to maintain their youthful allure.

So why is this ancient technique now becoming so popular? One of the world’s leading acupuncturists, Virginia Doran, has been instrumental in introducing the treatment to modern western culture. Her treatment protocol has featured on the US’s major television news networks, even appearing on Sex and the City! Not surprisingly, New York and LA waiting lists for cosmetic acupuncture are often over a year long and populated by the rich and famous (reportedly Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cher - Telegraph 13/8/2004).

So how does the Acupuncture facelift work? A number of hair-thin needles are skilfully inserted into specific acupuncture points and manipulated to encourage blood and energy flow. This energy, or “life force”, is said to regulate the body’s innate healing processes and invigorate the facial area. Proponents of cosmetic acupuncture say it can offer measurable results after only a few sessions, eliminating fine lines and reducing deeper wrinkles. Bags under the eyes are reduced, droopy eyelids are lifted, sagging and puffiness are smoothed away. Other long term benefits can include increased moisture and elasticity in the skin, the activation of collagen production, better muscle tone and jaw-line definition, tightening of the pores and improved hormonal balance.

A complete treatment program involves a series of 12 sessions. Following the initial course of treatment, intermittent maintenance sessions can prolong the results for several years. Also included in the series is a tailored prescription of herbal supplements and treatments, both of which are facets of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

But is it painful? Well, less painful than you might think. A thorough eyebrow plucking from a trained beauty therapist can cause more eye-watering pain than 10 acupuncture needles combined. The treatment is also much easier than going the surgeon’s knife, with full anaesthetic and waking up with a faceful of bandages and bruises. Unlike the injection of potentially harmful chemicals into your skin, cosmetic acupuncture’s only side effect is an improved sense of health and well-being!

But what is the scientific support for Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture? A recent research study, found that out of 300 test subjects, over 90% showed significant improvements after one series of treatments.

The weakness of most conventional cosmetic therapies is that they do little or nothing to enhance the client’s underlying health condition. It’s primarily because cosmetic acupuncture fully embraces the principle of ‘inner health/outer beauty’ that it works so well - and that results last longer. I liken cosmetic acupuncture treatment to a gardener tending the soil of a plant to produce a healthy flower, rather than superficially trying to polish a petal.

While the initial desire to look younger may be a simple case of vanity, the effects can prove far more profound than merely improving one’s appearance. As a practitioner of Oriental medicine, our aim is to help people to profoundly improve their lives. Many people come looking for cosmetic acupuncture, but return for the health benefits.

Dermot has now introduced Virginia Doran’s Cosmetic Acupuncture treatment protocol at his clinics at London’s Hale Clinic and Dublin.

Soothing Hot Stone Massage!

12/03/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

If you’ve never experienced a hot stone massage, you don’t know what your missing out on! Most people think the use of hot stones in massage is a recently introduced and expensive spa experience, but the use of hot rocks for therapeutic massage therapy has its origins in the Far East. Ancient writings exist that describe this fabulous technique dating back almost five thousand years ago! Most are familiar with the famous Roman baths, where hot stone therapy was used in the baths of the wealthy as well as part of an athletes training ritual. We also know that Native Americans used hot stone therapy by heating warm stones over an open fire, allowing them to cool down, and applying them to tight, sore muscles.

The good news is that this healing technique has been rediscovered and is increasingly being used by licensed massage therapists, physical therapists, chiropractors, and many practitioners of alternative medicine. The stones are typically basalt or hot molten lava which has cooled and formed into a smooth, dark, stone. These stones hold energy and heat and are perfect for therapeutic use. The stones are applied to the muscles to promote a sense of well-being, deep relaxation, and deep tissue healing. The stones warm and help loosen tight muscles, increase circulation, and feel simply fantastic. As your therapist works on you, the combination of heat and Swedish massage strokes work to rid the body of toxins and help to stimulate the body’s metabolism. Hot stone therapy is excellent for athletes combined with pre-game stretching and massage, as well as for relieving stress, PMS symptoms, Menopause symptoms, Fibromyalgia pain, Arthritis pain, sore muscles, insomnia, depression, and M.S.

The few contraindications that exist when using hot stone therapy are certain illnesses, the use of hot stones on legs or abdomen during pregnancy, and neuropathy in the legs of individuals with diabetes. If you are unsure about receiving a massage due to a health condition or concern, ask your licensed massage therapist or consult with a physician.

Your therapist will take precautions during the massage for the temperature of the hot stones, making sure the warmth is comfortable to you. Keep in mind that the hot stones must be cool enough for your therapist to handle while working on you. Take the time to check out this luxurious form of massage therapy. You will love the way you feel!

Cell phones - Protect yourself

12/01/09 | by Ajit | Categories: Diseases

Real solution will be to move our culture away from wireless technology. Of course, it is doubtful that all the society is going to abandon wireless technologies, but you can surely follow these crucial tips to protect your brain and your health from cell phones:
• Children Should Never Use Cell Phones: Barring a life-threatening emergency, children should not use a cell phone, or a wireless device of any type. Children are far more vulnerable to cell phone radiation than adults, because of their thinner skull bones.
• Reduce Your Cell Phone Use: Turn your cell phone off more often. Reserve it for emergencies or important matters.
• Use A Land Line At Home And At Work: Although more and more people are switching to using cell phones as their exclusive phone contact, it is a dangerous trend and you can choose to opt out of the madness.
• Reduce or Eliminate Your Use of Other Wireless Devices: You would be wise to cut down your use of these devices. Just as with cell phones, it is important to ask yourself whether or not you really need to use them every single time. If you must use a portable home phone, use the older kind that operates at 900 MHz. They are no safer during calls, but at least they do not broadcast constantly even when no call is being made.
• Use Your Cell Phone Only Where Reception Is Good: The weaker the reception, the more power your phone must use to transmit, and the more power it uses, the more radiation it emits, and the deeper the dangerous radio waves penetrate into your body. Ideally, you should only use your phone with full bars and good reception.
• Turn Your Cell Phone Off When Not In Use: As long as your cell phone is on, it emits radiation intermittently, even when you are not actually making a call.
• Keep Your Cell Phone Away From Your Body When It Is On: The most dangerous place to be, in terms of radiation exposure, is within about six inches of the emitting antenna. You do not want any part of your body within that area.
• Use Safer Headset Technology: Wired headsets will certainly allow you to keep the cell phone farther away from your body. However, if a wired headset is not well-shielded – and most of them are not – the wire itself acts as an antenna attracting ambient radiation and transmitting radiation directly to your brain. Make sure the wire used to transmit the signal to your ear is shielded.
