Most of the younger and middle age persons are diagnosed for high Cholesterol. They are prescribed cholesterol lowering drugs.

Do you realize that cholesterol lowering drugs may affect your natural healing process? The side effects of cholesterol lowering drugs may lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, soreness and ultimately heart failure.

130 LDL cholesterol level was considered healthy till end 2003. Cholesterol levels were revised to a maximum level of 70, effective from 2004.

Do you know WHY?

It is for the profit which drug industry looks for. An enormous market for the cholesterol lowering drugs could be captured simply by altering the cholesterol level. The profits started running to the tune of billions of dollars.

Cholesterol is essential for many important functions of the body. It’s an integral part of cell membranes, and also the raw material which the body uses to make steroid hormones – it includes vitamin D. The skin contains cholesterol, and when UVB rays from the sun hits the skin it converts that form of cholesterol to vitamin D3, which is then transported to the blood. The body then further converts it into the active form of vitamin D.

Cholesterol is very important for the for optimal brain health. It helps in the formation of your memories and is vital for neurological function. In fact, low cholesterol has been linked to a variety of neurological problems, including memory loss and other negative events occurring in the body

Having too little of this beneficial compound also:
• Increases your risk of depression
• Can increase your risk of suicide
• May lead to violent behaviour and aggression
• Increase your risk of cancer and Parkinson’s disease

Cholesterol levels above 300 may be considered high. One may further ensure to be far from risk if the following criteria are fulfilled:
“ Divide your HDL level by your cholesterol. That percentage should ideally be above 25 percent. Typically, the higher the better, as there are no known side effects of having too high good cholesterol. If your ratio falls below 15-20 percent you are at high risk, and below 10 percent, it’s a significant indicator of risk for heart disease.”

There are simpler ways to regulate your cholesterol levels. 75 percent of your cholesterol is produced by your liver, which is influenced by your insulin levels. Therefore, if you optimize your insulin levels, you will also regulate your cholesterol levels. Exercising and paying attention to your diets will further help you in regulating your cholesterol level. Foods increase insulin level and influence the liver to produce more cholesterol

Tips for safely lowering and regulating your cholesterol levels:
1. Get an appropriate amount of exercise
2. Reduce, with the plan of eliminating, grains and sugars in your daily diet.
3. Eat the right foods for your nutritional type
4. .Eat a good portion of your food raw
5. Make sure you’re getting plenty of high-quality, animal-based omega-3 fats. Krill oil may be opted.
6. Avoid excessive smoking and alcohol.
7. Address your emotional challenges.

Important: Cholesterol lowering drugs affect your body system. It reduces an enzyme in your liver to reduce the production of cholesterol. It also reduces the production of coenzyme Q10, thereby increasing your risk of a variety of different health problems, such as premature ageing and DNA damage.
