Stress is the fact of life. You may not be able to avoid it but you surely lower it.
Don’t get surprised, there are simple ways:
• Make a schedule. Start with important things – first.
• Be honest with your approach. You would find simpler ways to do a thing better.
• Limit your alcohol, avoid smoking, get plenty of rest. Take care of yourself.
• Try out new ways of thinking. When you find yourself starting to worry, try to stop the thoughts. Work on letting go of things you cannot change. Learn to say “no.”
• Assertive communication can help you express how you feel in a thoughtful, tactful way.
• Successful people have a strong network of family and friends. It helps in managing stress better. If need be, don’t hesitate to see a counselor.
Relieve your stress through:
• Walking is a great way to get started.
• Write about the things that are bothering you.
• Talk, laugh, cry, and express anger when you need to with someone you trust.
• A hobby can help you relax. ‘Helping others’ can be a great stress reliever.
• Go for breathing exercises, muscle relaxation exercises, massage or yoga
• Laughter really can be the best medicine
• Try meditation and listen to relaxing music.
